After rescuing the victims of Veranda's scheme, the survivors went back to their home island. Everything is going well except for France who lost Eleazar in a sacrificial attempt to save all of them.
What follows is the life after a decade in a post apocalyptic world where everyone faces the threat of a dawning apocalypse while France comes in face to face with whom he lost long ago.

Life is hard as it is. But it proved me wrong when it just got a whole lot tougher when the apocalypse happened. Just when I think life could not get any tougher than this. Life proved me wrong once more and I just wished that I died with him rather than live on but lose him. I hated life for that- France

I'm just too lucky to still be alive after facing death for a second time. But the mere thought of him just replenishes my whole being, forcing me to stay alive. Now that the apocalypse is over I can finally be with him in peace, or so I thought when he found peace with another. And I wished I just died right there rather than live on without his love - Eleazar

"What are those, zombies?" How fascinating yet concerning it is to find a young kid to ask such an interesting and frightening question. They wouldn't mind it if refers to a certain movie, but a question that relates to reality? Oh, that's sick. "I wish they were, you see, zombies were easier to kill, but these bastards run like humans, think like us, and..." The man with long hair and heterochromia rests his gun beside him. "And?" she asked. Her voice was filled with fear and anticipation, holding her favorite teddy bear. Her eyes widened in amusement as the guy pointed his gun towards her. She was one of them, it was good he killed her before she kills everyone in that room. "You're one of them," The guy turned to face the woman that approached him. After the nuclear war with North Korea I truly have no idea how there is any trace of man kind left on the planet. But those who died during that battle that lasted no longer than a few hours were the lucky ones. They were subjected to instant deaths, and in my eyes and the world I now live in, that is the meaning of lucky. We found home in a small military outpost just south-west of London, we found comfort in it and it is now my home. A world plunged into a nuclear war, one man must be brave enough to rise up against the evils that have spawned on the surface of the Earth. He must be wise enough to lead a group of survivors to safety. He must be smart enough to find a safe place in this world, and I'm afraid that person is me. Dimitri Jones, after the loss of his wife must find a purpose in life again; He must face ferocious foes such as infected flesh eating homo-sapiens. Animals and insects which have evolved and mutated to become carnivorous, all in his discovery for a safe place, and that's just the beginning. A striking coming of age story about self discovery, freedom, safety and love. Prologue extract: There was blood on my hands, a deep crimson liquid slowly dripping down my arms from the scratches and gashes caused by savage teeth. It was sick. No man should ever have to go through what I have just done. I keep telling myself over and over again that I didn't have a choice. Maybe eventually I'll believe it. Although deep down, I know I didn't have either a say or a choice; it was either them, or me.
