Kokichi Ouma is a young high-schooler who has been accused of murdering his own mother. Kokichi claims that he didn't do it, but the evidence is against him. Around this time, a young wannabe-detective visits the Kamakura Asylum, the asylum known for attempting to cure mentally unstable juveniles. The boy's name is Shuichi Saihara.
