This is a story of how the lineages of the two greatest empires of the world become a support system for each other...

Blagden Ashford. Second son of the Ashford Empire. From the moment he was born, he was laden with expectations, centered with attention and the burdened with an amount of pressure no eighteen year old should bear. He was expected to be perfect. Just like darkness- engulfing anything or anyone perfectly, leaving anything without light, hope or a chance to survive. To anyone else, he would have perfectly matched his description, for Blagden made sure he owned up his name; but what he also made sure was to make his inner struggle invisible, leaving no sign of mistakes, uncertainty or doubt.

Brooke Stellard; an independent, beautiful and the ultimate peacemaking brunette. As the youngest daughter of Anthony Stellard, one would have expected her to be the spoilt, reckless and popular girl. One could not be more wrong. The dangerous bits of her past, had left their mark. She never asked for help. Ever.

Moreover, she inherited her father's most lethal skill- she could read people like nobody's business. And that usually made her everybody's business, so she liked to keep to herself and hide in the shadows.

Fate found a way to bring together these two brilliant flames so as to sustain the both. A perfect symbiosis. A way for the both to go on.
