It's a very short story. It's about Athena's curse to Medusa. I was quite young when I wrote this so please don't judge. I also included a bit from my imagination, so don't come at me saying that the story is false. Anyway hope you like it.

Title: The Oath Between Gods Summary: After the Trojan War, the weary and battle-worn Odysseus stumbles upon a forgotten island-home to Medeia, the feared Goddess of Justified Vengeance, and War's Unseen Toll. Known for her ruthless retribution against oathbreakers and oppressors, Medeia has long been an outsider among the Olympians, feared and respected in equal measure. However, she is not alone. Ares, the God of War, has sought her out, drawn by an unspoken bond neither of them have dared to acknowledge. When Odysseus carelessly questions the nature of their relationship, it forces Medeia and Ares to confront what has long gone unsaid between them. But words are not enough. Medeia, ever the goddess of oaths and retribution, demands something stronger-an unbreakable vow. In a temple heavy with divine history, Ares swears a sacred oath to fight beside her, binding himself to her cause in ways that even he does not yet fully understand. As the mark of their pact burns into his skin, Olympus stirs with unease. The Goddess of Vengeance and the God of War, standing united? It is a bond that could shift the balance of power among the gods. A bond that could bring justice to the unjust... or destruction to all who stand in their way. And Zeus? He is watching. Waiting. And he will not let this go unanswered.Complete

This loss drives Jonathan to a fateful encounter with a strange man, or perhaps something else entirely-an entity offering him a wish.
