This is a complete, and I mean complete rewrite of the story.
Due to a major attack from an organized group of hunters, supplies are lost and Ellie goes out with others to look for more supplies. Unfortunately for her things don't go according to plan and she gets separated. Now she runs errands for Isaac in an attempt to show she's worth having around and so she can bargain with him. Her service in return supplies and transport. But she's not alone. With Abby's help maybe, just maybe she can pull it off.

"I can't lose you like I've lost everyone else" I say, something inside of him clicks and his eyes turn angry "You have no idea what loss is" he says through clenched teeth. Riley dies not even a day later, but Ellie doesn't which confuses her. She goes to her mother's friend Marlene who helps her out by taking her to two smugglers, Joel and Tess, who are instructed to take her to a group of Fireflies who can reverse engineer a cure for the infected. Joel is in his late 40's, he was there when the apocalypse started and has suffered ever since, until he meets Ellie and his entire perspective on life changes. He finds that over time he begins to have feelings for Ellie, he wants to protect her and shelter her from this horrible life. Can Ellie and Joel save the world? What will happen on their adventure together? Rated M for language, violence, suggestive content, and death.Complete

Ellie found traveling with Joel to be both rewarding and simultaneously frustrating. It was like talking to a cold, emotionless brick wall sometimes. So imagine her excitement when they run into another group of travelers heading in the same direction, and they agree to travel with Ellie and Joel. The most exciting part? The other group has a girl their age. This is essentially a Ellie/Reader slow-burn fanfiction. It's also a fix-it fic in regards to the Last of Us Part 2 because I have personal issues with it. So what does that make her? This is a post TLOU2 fic. For me it is a closure story, but like TLOU, it has lots of dark patches. Some romance (no smut, sorry), adventure, action, original characters. Only F/F for Ellie. Don't think it qualifies as mature, but it has some violence akin to what you would see in TLOU games.
