Golden rays of sunlight swept in through the windows as my personal human alarm bounced on my stomach, announcing that another day had begun. Another day without him, another day trying to forget him but failing miserably, and another day of having to pretend that everything was okay when I was far from stable. I've been trudging through my life aimlessly since that day hoping something will fill the empty void that he left behind. I turned to look at Junghyun who was now cuddled up against my shoulder staring back at me with beautiful rich brown eyes and smiling the same smile his dad had the day we saw Junghyun for the first time - the same day that he left. Looking into Junghyun's eyes, I knew that my child is the only hope and reason I've made it thus far. "Mommy, can I ask chu something?" he says deep in thought.
