"Why? Why are you even acting like you care?" I heave out, the pouring rain hitting me like knives. I'm pretty sure I look a mess with the blood that's not even mine all over me. The bruises and cuts on my face and definitely the rain that's making it very hard to see right now.
"You're really questioning me?" Bucky whispers. Everything else fades out as all I can concentrate on is the drops of rain that is hitting his stupidly beautiful face.
"Yes!" I shout, ignoring the fighting that's happening around me. "Yes I fucking am. Because all you've been doing is giving me mixed signals and I know we're right in the middle of a mission but I don't care. You- you're just confusing! You're grumpy. You're mean. But you also protect me? You- you just saved me. I mean I don't-"
"Just shut up." My words get swallowed as I feel Bucky's lips crash onto mine.
