Rita Young was raised to be a part of a top secret goverment program. A program called Gifted, with one goal:
To enhance the future of the human race both phisically and mentally.
Rita goes through testing and is accepted, she is given one day to pack and needs to be at the lab by the next morning. She is sent home with a strange bird tatoo and more questions than answers. When she arrives she undergoes the operation. When she wakes up she has wings, freakish senses and unreal reflexes. She undergoes the training with her fellow Gifted members. So she helped them escape, and stayed behind for a reason unknown. But when high school starts and she has to stay home the first day because of experiments something changes. Her scientific 'parents' want to do a routine test but Shane injects herself accidentally with adrenaline. stupid of her really but her parents inject her with something. this was the last straw for her as the pai became too much for her. when she goes to school the next day she is different. it's noticeable to anyone and especially to the guy that bullies her everyday. what does she do when she see's her bullies girlfriend cheating on him? what will she do when she sees bruises on him? what does she do when she starts to change into a horrible being that only wants one thing?
