The Goddess is forced to put a stop to his power hungry tendencies, so she sends her daughter down to Earth. She sends her with the thought that she must kill the Death Alpha to bring peace to the werewolf population. She believes if he isn't eliminated the werewolf population will go extinct. 

What the Goddess doesn't tell her daughter is that she is his mate and the prophecy sent to the Moon Temples is a riddle. That one must read between the lines to understand it's true meaning. For she won't be taking his power away or killing him, instead she'll be completing him.
