nikara is sokka and katara's half sister. she is pretty much sokka in girl form; only she is a bender. not just any bender, but a dual bender. long story short, raava's spirit partially gave up on aang and put a part of herself into nikara, so that's how she can bend both water and fire. nikara is living a pretty normal life, having fun with her siblings. that is, until aang shows up. and not long after, zuko.
