  (AN: At the end of the book, you quite infer that Rufus dies after he steps off the sidewalk; and I wanted to add-on to that ending. I just felt that, that last sentence wasn't enough.)

  After mourning for one minute too long about his, future boyfriend Mateo's death he decides to get out of the hospital, and live out his final hours. After stepping off that curb though, he realizes he's made a huge mistake.

How could you fix things if you're not longer alive? Emma and Tyler had an car accident while going home after prom. A drunk driver hit them and Tyler died. Emma alive has to live with the grief of losing someone, but can she move on? Can she let go? Tyler, meanwhile, left his family and his lover alive while he finds his way to settle the things he left incomplete before he can go to heaven. Love never dies, and even though there is pain on the journey, at the end there will be hope.

There might also be some Jared x Alana in here as well, but I haven't quite made up my mind yet. This is an AU where Connor never died when he tried to take his own life, so there won't be any death-angst. There will eventually be a suicide attempt by Connor for reasons I haven't figured out yet.
