An accident happens and it temporarily paralyses Nate's leg. For him to get back into ice hockey he has to learn to skate properly again, this is when he recognises a local volunteer at the hospital skating.
He notices the brunette figure skating and that he uses the same ring as him. Nate instantly admires his skills on the ice. He ends up speaking to the boy (whose name is named Declan) that helps him improve skating after the recent accident.
Getting to know Declan was not an easy task - due to past trust issues in Declan's life and lack of confidence- but he was prepared to at least become friends with the beautiful ice skater he finds himself staring at so much. Nate is confused as to why he has never seen Declan skate before despite the fact they skate at the same ring.
Dose he push Declan too much? Will he wreak the new bond they have created? Why is Declan holding back from him? What is he hiding? Will Declan ever fully trust him?
