Second and Sebring translation. Lyrics to Short Story. Short story to Novella

This was intended to be a school project and it was meant to be a short-story, but I couldn't fit everything into a short-story and I couldn't leave loose-ends or meaningful words left unsaid.

Also, this story contains curse words and I can’t exactly submit this to my English teacher. But like I said; if I change anything then it wouldn’t be Jacob as himself, but a Jacob to suit someone else’s needs or preferences. Fuck that.

This is solely based around the song’s lyrics, Second and Sebring, and not the song's actual meaning, the singers or band members – any of them. I do not know any of them personally – but I’d more than like to – and I’ve never met any band member mentioned in person or at all so I do not know what they like or what they dislike or how they talk or what they approve or disapprove of because let’s be honest, not many fans know them as well as they claim or believe to.

This is almost a fanfic. Almost, because the characters might share a last name and belong to a band of the same name with the same songs, but that's pretty much it - oh yes, that's another thing. I take no credit, absolutely none, for the lyrical content in here. Of Mice & Men fans may recognise some of the lyrics I've integrated into the story, and if you do, pm me and I'll dedicate the next chapter to the first person that gets it right. I've already written the entire thing. This story finished about a year ago, but I won't post it all at once. The thing is, I wrote this all about in one go. I haven't really edited past the first few chapters because it brought back what I was feeling at the time that I initially wrote it, which, admittedly were not very nice feelings to have, so the story is very raw. I will edit them in time. You'll understand when you read it, or maybe you won't.
