When a young boy was found floating in the river, a village decided to take him in. The mayor himself decided to adopt him, and the boy quickly made a friend. The two boys grew up together, and were quite close. After Katsuki Bakugou was sent overseas at the age of 13, Izuku Midoriya was left alone in the village to wait for him.
