Madelynn Scrubb longed for adventure. She read about mystical lands in books, or stared at the lush brushstrokes of paintings holding Minotaurs and unicorns. But she always reminded herself of one thing: It was never real.
As Madelynn and her family housed her two cousins for fortnights, she never realized that their visit would be her gateway into a world of adventure, danger, and peace from the war tearing through her country.
But, when she succumbs victim to the daunting mist that has been haunting Narnia, she may have turned the tides for the crew of the Dawn Treader, lead by young Narnian king, Caspian X.
How does a girl with a fear of the ocean survive months on a boat sailing the Great Eastern Ocean, struggling to realize how important of a role she will really come to play? How does she stop herself from falling for the ruler who saved her from the water?
