Trav saved Clone Trooper Course from having to witness and participate in Order 66. She disappeared before it happened, having found a place Course could hideout. She gives him the crystal from her lightsaber, one fashioned from her own magical abilities that will glow whenever she's returned and nearby.
Years later, despite her wishes, an older Course longs to see Trav again. He's never seen without the crystal dangling from his neck.
While on a rescue mission, the crystal's glow becomes brighter, signaling that Trav has returned to this universe. And Course will stop at nothing to see her again. After all, they may not have much time left to have a reunion.

Oh my gosh, this story hurt to write but it had to be done. People may not know a lot about these characters, and that's okay. This is a one-shot, and more will be written with these characters. I just had an idea and had to get it down before I lost it completely. There's also going to be a comic posted at some point, likely on my Tumblr (@im-just-the-traveler).
I haven't quite figured out when exactly this takes place, but it's between the time of Rebels and A New Hope.
Title of this story inspired by the Taylor Swift song "right where you left me."

Years later, she tries to find her place in the galaxy while avoiding the remnants of the Empire. Secrecy and hiding is all she knows. Until she meets a mysteriously defiant Mandalorian who, like her, is also living a life of isolation and concealment. Secrets get revealed as two people, who have been alone most of their lives, are slowly drawn together as they discover similarities with each other. However, things heat up when Nia meets Din's friend who took over the crime syndicate on Tatooine, a man who also wears Mandalorian armor. {I don't work with Disney or LucasFilms. Nearly five years ago, the Clone Wars ended with a purge that wiped an entire people from the galaxy. The Empire is not the Republic that he was once so proud to serve. Jess finds himself being tested in ways he never was before. As the Empire tightens its fist around the galaxy, Jess makes the decision to escape. Jess makes his way out of Imperial control and, eventually, into the hands of the Rebellion. War is all he's ever known. Whether he is a clone, an Imperial soldier, or a Rebel fighter, one fact remains. He is a trooper and war is in his blood. Ryn Alera has only known slavery throughout her life. The last place she expected to find help was with the Empire. When Ryn is due to serve the rest of her life on Kessel, she makes a stand for her freedom. When a rogue stormtrooper helps her escape, Ryn finds herself trapped in a whirlwind of war and danger. She gripped his arms as they caged her, keeping her from escaping. "I'd be damned if I let you slip through my fingers again." ~*~Summary~*~ Set after the events of Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. Rey is sent by General Organa on an important mission to infiltrate the First Order from within, feed helpful information to the General and bring Ben Solo home.
