Anirudh- The Story Of A Misread Barrister
112 parts Ongoing When Anirudh Roy Chowdhary, a twenty-one year old barrister, who is the eldest son of a rich family of landlords, returned to India abruptly after completing his graduation from London, for improving the conditions of women in India, to change the orthodox and conservative mindsets of the people of his country, he wasn't warmly welcomed by his family; because his family's expectations and his aspirations did not match.
On a dreadful night, when he was forced to get married to an eleven year old girl, he promised to take her responsibility for lifetime and make her independent; but refused to consider her as his wife, vowing to his morals and principles. Yet, with the passage of time, their bond grew stronger and within no time his little wife became his greatest support system, the only one to understand him in this harsh world that otherwise termed him as a crazy one, obsessed with the ideas of revolution and social change.
However, when child marriage began to take its toll on the innocence of his little wife, Anirudh takes a drastic step to save her from the toxic clutches of patriarchy and the conservative society, thus paving way for her bright future. In this process will he lose his one and only support, the reason for his very existence? Will he ever realize that his wife is his soul mate? How will these two revolting partners unite and stand against the tide to bring better changes in the country?
Set in the early 20th century Bengal, British India, this is a story of sacrifice, selflessness, pure love and patriotism of a revolutionary Barrister, who is often misread by the world, seen through his lens.
