My mama grew up in Communist China and was unable to go to school for 10 years. Instead, she worked in a labor camp until she was able to study enough to get into college and finally come to the United States with a little bit of money and no knowledge of English. 

She's been a restaurant owner, a mail carrier, and a cook. She's had many obstacles and has overcome them all. My mama is one fierce woman.
