The cousin of Astrid Kircherr, Dash was just your average Liverpudlian schoolgirl. A letter from her uncle and the promise of a job and an adventure leads Dash to Hamburg, Germany to live with her aunt and uncle. On the train there, she meets none other then Stuart Sutcliffe of the Quarrymen. In the weeks following, she meets the other members of Stu's band, including one underage guitar player who really enjoys chocolate biscuits.
When tragedy strikes and everyone's thrown into a whirlwind, will Dash and George come out of it together? Or will they be torn apart?
