After Hopper's death, Joyce took in El. But she decided to move away, taking Jonathon, Will, and El with her. El and Mike are still dating, just long distance. Same with Nancy and Jonathon. Will is still friends with the group. El has gotten her magic back, and is as powerful as she once was. The group is 15 now and think this nightmare is finally over. But Will gets the feeling again. El's demons aren't dead, as she had hoped. What if it's never over? What if they can't close the gate, but have to destroy it altogether? If they do that, will El be able to survive?
