Set in the late nineteenth century Philippines, this classic tale revolves around a fourteen-year-old boy named Nicolas, and his mute, young foster brother named Pepito. Nicolas once drew a portrait of her bestfriend Elena.

He might be poor but he's happy, for he persues to be a famous classical artist since the beginning of his youth. Together with their friends, they will face the harsh reality of life, experience loss, pain, and hardships, and to value ones friendship and love.
