If My Friend Committed Suicide...I wouldn't know what to do with myself...

*Expert*

"Daddy? What's in the letter?" Samuel and I said at the same time. I whipped my head in his direction and scowled at him.

"You tell them, I can't do it," Momma sobbed. Daddy sighed then got up. He could've gone to anyone...but he walked up to me. He placed his hands on me. He looked into my eyes. He said the most dreadful information to me.

"Emmy...Owen...he, uh, he passed," Daddy said. I looked at him blankly but while Daddy was trying to explain how or why he died, his voice was being tuned out by my heavy breathing. O-Owen. My friend O-Owen d-died? No. No. No. No. No. Dear God, please no. Please let this be a dream. Please. I beg of you! Please! Suddenly, I started falling.

Falling.

Falling.

Down.

Down.

Down.

Down to the ground.

*Summary*

I never gave much thought to suicide. Mostly because I thought that I would never think about it, and I didn't. But that didn't mean that my friends didn't. I thought Owen Johnson loved his life. I thought he loved his girlfriend. I thought he loved his friends. Apparently not. Because if he did...we wouldn't have killed himself. He wouldn't have put me through this...this...this pain! Now, because of him, I have to live in my old crush's house for three weeks. Because of Owen, I have to see Victor flirting with the other girls at his block. Because of Owen, I got to feel the butterflies in my stomach. And the worst part...is that I liked it.
