And when your heart welcomes the darkness like grandparents their grandchildren, you cannot stop it. It isn't in you now but is you. So you don't fight it. It is more powerful anyways, you love it. You accept it. You learn to co-exist with it. It's not darkness.
This is not a "and they lived a happy ever after" story, neither a romantic one. No. This is a story about kids. Kids who the world needed them, to grow up faster. The world made them warriors.

Six months after Minho and other kids from The Right Arm were taken, Thomas and the others swear an oath to rescue them. But, other than W.I.C.K.E.D., they've got problems on their hands. In this fanfic, Newt and Cara are already in a relationship but their situation threatens to pull them apart. Will their love stand the trials brought about by a dying world? Short Summary Newt, Cara, and the rest of the group are rescued from the maze. Cara is given her memories back right before her, Newt and the group escape the WICKED facility. Her loyalty to her friends wavers but she soon realizes that she no longer wants to work for WICKED despite Teresa trying to convince her otherwise. They try to escape the grasp of WICKED as they make their way through the Scorch in search of the Right Arm.
