After the end of the Sons of Garmadon and the threat of the Oni, the ninja believe they can finally catch a break.

Really though, do they really think the universe will give them that chance? 

Suddenly, the remains of the Time Twins' mech, the Iron Doom, falls from above them, not including the Twins themselves, a blessing or a curse they'll never know. Despite the missing Time Blades, the residual energy sends a wave outwards.

And suddenly, everything stops.

The Ninja because of the glory of their recent victory grew lazy. So when a new adventure is thrown their way after exploring a mysterious pyramid. They were taken by surprise when they accidentally set an ancient threat loose, and nothing could ever have prepared them for the mayhem that followed suit. After the Oni, it seemed as if Lloyd and Misty's relationship was on its way to being patched up, but as time continued Lloyd still struggled with what happened between him and Harumi. Which has only caused Misty to grow closer to Cole. Lloyd becomes increasingly suspicious of the closeness. Does this spell the doom of their relationship once and for all?

Will they unite to help their young friend, or will anger and discord keep them from finding their Sensei? It's been almost a year since Nya left the team and merged with the sea. Ever since then Kai and Jay have not been the same. None of the ninjas have. But most of the others had learned to move past it. While Kai and Jay still have their moments of Grieving. Wu was worried about them. She could tell that they still were affected by her "death". Though she was still physically alive, the Nya they knew was no longer there; the Nya they loved was dead. But Wu's worries only grew when he left one day to go do his smoke visions in a more quiet and peaceful place. The other ninja had left to go do some work in Ninjago city while Kai and Jay stayed behind. The two boys recently have been near each other often. They seemed to be discussing something but none of the others would know what. As one of the others comes over they keep their mouths shut. Wu sat by the fire and meditated. How he would love to be able to see what has been going on in the two students' heads, but there was no possible way of doing so. He hummed as his smoke visions started to appear. Everyone was as happy as could be as expected but then the visions slowly started to darken... He awoke again with a small burst of panic but quickly calmed down, he knew to keep them safe. He had to prevent them from whatever they might be trying to do... Little did he know... he was already too late. What did Wu see? What is Jay and kai planning? And who may They be?
