Anabasis of the Northern Sea

In 1943, the Japanese Empire found itself squeezed between the military powers of the United States and the Soviet Union, feeling the pressure of their encroachment. Across the Pacific Ocean in the United States, a massive naval expansion plan was being implemented based on the Two-Ocean Navy Act. Once all planned ships were completed, the total tonnage would reach approximately 1,3 million tons. Meanwhile, the Soviet Union was dispatching a colossal ship from Europe to East Asia - the Sovetsky Soyuz. It was the first super battleship commissioned by the Soviet Union. Three years had passed since the end of the Second World War in Europe in July 1940. The conflict, which seemed to have subsided, was now once again poised to ignite, this time in the Far East.
