5 parts Ongoing ❛ Mental health fucks up people... and perhaps relationships too. ❜
-
The thing about the human psyche is, even if the issues seem personal, even if they are in one's mind, they definitely don't only affect them.
Mental illnesses might be looked down upon, banished without a second thought, but you would never understand the bloodshed from the wars that are fought in one's mind.
Jae-mi, she was only trying to get through life. She wasn't looking for anything unusual, anything that caused any kind of disruption to anyone. She had always tried her best.
But there's no one, neither will there ever be, whose life has gone peacefully, quietly, just the way they wanted.
It was the toughest part of her life.
It gets tough when your trust shatters, your heart is wrung out of you and walked on and, suddenly you're the assailant, instead of the victim.
She had completely lost her will to live. A person can only take so much. She was tired, exhausted of tallying the pros and cons and all she begged for was peace.
Neither did it, nor did the wars in her mind.
But there's never all the doors closed for you altogether.
You have to select the right door.
Amidst of all this, somehow, she found herself falling in love with the guy, who showed her that it doesn't matter if there wasn't a crowd outside her door showing their trust in her, he was there. He loved her, he knew she could do this. She could tame the chaos.
But insecurities are harsher than chains that tie you. She was thinking of every whats, ifs and what ifs.
What did she possibly have for a guy like him to fall in love with her?
Love, though? It could breakdown every challenge and still open its arms for you to embrace it.
The question is, will Jae-mi embrace it? Will she embrace her moonlight and the peace? Will she heal and let him heal her?
Since he said, "You can still shine beyond every scar, Darling. The moon is still the moon in all its phases."
