This is a book based off of my best friend, and how she tried too survive 3rd grade with a lot of bullies because she had figured out her sexuality so young and she turned out to be lesbian. Can she figure how to survive the bullies and figure out how to stand up to them? I hope this can show girls that you dont have to hide your true self. If you get bullied, stand up to them. I stood up to my first bully because of this girl. I hope she can give you hope and courage too.
Why Can't I Change is about a girl who is discovering her sexuality and she doesn't know what to do because her parents are extremely religious and she can't change for reasons you can read in the book, She struggles with suicidal thoughts and other things.
