This is the first part of a book about two people; Duncan and Laurence. They start as strangers and become soulmates. Starting off quickly, and then get to know each other later, which is not the normal way either of the characters would usually start a relationship, however, when in love, anything can happen. The characters will have lots of ups and downs as the story unravels. These include Duncan's drug addiction, Laurence losing her job, and the pregnancy. (A/N - there may be more to this, maybe in a different book, about the marriage and Laurence getting a new job and maybe a divorce? Let me know if you are interested by leaving a comment at the end of the latest chapter.)

Her life hanging on the tenterhooks of a knife edge, Josephine McNulty, a gorgeous woman in her prime, embarks on a gruelling journey of self reflection, malice and hatred when her husband backstabs and cheats on her. Life, it seems, has a more chaotic option for her as it takes on a downward spiral when secrets spill, truths unfold, and she is no longer sure of whom to trust. Her life shrouded in a blanket of lies and a grim cord binding her to a dark past, Josephine is caught up in a world of uncertainty where merging with the underworld seems to be the only option left for her to escape the clutches of a determined psycho killer. But when love gets in the way and her mission, given to her by her father, of killing Jacob Klegg gets blighted, will it take just a single night with her father to rid herself of the consequences that come with defying her dad's order, or find a solace in her despised past, Jacob Klegg? *** Jacob Klegg, a political bigwig, is hell-bent on exterminating every thing that has to do with his past to clear the hurdles to his promising political future- even if it means killing his one-night stand, with whom, unknowingly, he has a set of twins. His mission, however, is threatened to be blighted when the spark of love is re-ignited and chemistry is developed between him and Josephine. Will emotions get in the way, or will he find a way of estinguishing his growing love for her before he gets engulfed in the consuming flames of passion?
