The surgery was performed, Ian could see, but it only takes 60 seconds for the red to cloud over, and his eyes to point in opposite directions, and for his Phsychotic Derp alternate personality to take over. Behind the glasses aren't only his cold blue eyes, but a monster that can only be tamed by the glasses that hold it prisoner, and needs to be kept a secret or many innocent lives will be lost.
