Sirius Black has been told for years that he should be more like his brother, that he should fold to the telling of his parents. But Sirius watched from afar and saw the truth to all of their words. He didn't understand how they could be so cruel. It took him way longer than it should have to leave his home, but he did and it was the best decision he ever made.

Joanne Richard heard this more times in her life than you could blink. She was a few years younger than her sister, who just happened to be a genius. Even when Joanne got her letter to a very... special school, her family looked down upon her. If not even more than before. They saw her as some sort of freak, a monster. She had no where to go, so she was forced to stay in her own personal hell.
Both have horrid lives at home, but when they reach Hogwarts they say nothing of it. Only Sirius' close friends know. But no one knows of Joannes home life. And she would like to keep it that way. It's hard, with Sirius trying to figure out what she's hiding nearly everyday.
