"Hello?" I asked after I swiped the answer button. 

"I can't sleep." It was Semi. Of course it was.  

"What time is it?" I asked. 

It was silent on the other line for a moment. "Three am."

"You're going to be the death of me," I grumbled.

That was the best depiction of Omori Haya's and Semi Eita's friendship. Not once had she ever considered him a nuisance and not once had he worried about being a bother to her. Maybe that was why they worked so well together, or maybe it was that feeling they both had that they kept hidden away. 

Both were waiting silently for everything to fall together, piece by piece.
