Josephine dies and goes to Dimension also known as 'Heaven' by mortals. Souls that enter Dimension have to work under a God until their next life. There are multiple gods and one Emperor, who rules above everything. The thing about Josephine is that she is the second soul to ever be validated to serve the emperor as a worker in 100 millennia.
The Emperor is not your typical ruler. He is secluded and silent. A ruler who masters his emotions. He doesn't bother himself with mundane things. Nobody questions his judgement. Josephine is enthralled by him but who isn't? He finds her 'strange'.
She is mesmerised by his selflessness and has 4000 years until her next life. Her ultimate goal is to give everything to him because, in her eyes, he only gives.

"Josephine, do you know what Orange Blossoms symbolize?" He asked me with his eyes closed. He looked like the most peaceful creature in the world, he probably is. He makes laying under a tree look majestic.
"No, what do they mean?" I smiled, stroking the Orange Blossom's white flowers. His gift is simple yet beautiful. He chuckled and turned his head away.
