(COMPLETED) It's 1817 and there is nothing more a woman wants than to marry a rich man and live a life of comfort. But not Nancy Brooks. Having spent half her life helping her mother run her laundry shop and the other half in the local library, Nancy knows what she wants, and it is not a life spent looking for the perfect suitor. Things take a turn when she delivers clothes to one of the schools she always dreamed of attending and ends up saving the day. Lord Andrew Montgomery rules almost every place he sets foot in-one of the perks of being the son of the most powerful duke of the time-and this includes Oxford. Violent and aggressive, he vows to make the life of every student who dares defy him miserable. However, when he targets the new (and first) girl at Oxford, his obsession becomes a little more than just making her life miserable. It began, he would later speculate, with a shout: the simple sound of someone shouting at him-for the first time in his life. It began, she would later speculate, with a catch: the simple movement of strong arms, breaking her fall, catching her midway. But after that, there would come many more events, and ones not too keen on bringing them together. What will they do when a powerful duchess steps in, when it seems every person is working to keep them apart? This is a story of betrayal and love, because they are not so different after all...

In an instant his lips were on mine, and without even knowing how, I felt myself succumbing to him. I pulled away quickly, but both of his hands went around me as he caressed my cheek, and then his lips crushed against mine again, this time with much more urgency. I wanted to stop him, but I found that I couldn't. I let myself kiss him and give up what I believed in, after all, it was this that I needed to do if I wanted to succeed in the dare. And to be fair, I didn't really mind, Mr James was more than attractive. Ella is a typical seventeen year old girl who, on the first day of school, becomes friends with the wrong group of people, who threaten her to flirt with her teacher and make him fall for her. Ella is left with no choice but to do this, and day by day, she tries to get as close to her very attractive art teacher as she possibly could. However, in the midst of this, she starts realising that she actually does like Mr Edward James more than she thinks she ever would. On the other hand, her teacher struggles to stay away from the student whom he finds himself falling for. [Book 1 of Greenhill-Sinclair Series] Set in 1818, in London, during the regency era. Violet Greenhill, has always been the most admired woman in London. She is called breathtakingly beautiful, and is known for her wit and quick ways. She keeps getting a lot of attention and marriage proposals, but one sudden day, she gets a letter from an unknown person, and when those letters become regular, Violet cannot help but fall in love. Simon Siddell, Earl of Watford, had turned into a quiet man, who never indulged in conversations, and wasn't loved much by London due to his 'dark personality'. But, he was a silent spectator, or more of a silent lover, who watched Miss Violet from afar, dancing and chatting lovingly with others. He loved her deeply, but feared to talk to her because of his one daunting secret that had haunted him for years. But, when his desperation grew uncontrollable, he started sending her letters as anonymous to fulfill his one desire, that he'd kept close to his soul for years.
