Captured by one of the Hunter's net traps, (y/n) struggles to free themself. Almost put of air, they hear heavy breathing and see 2 kids like them. Yelling for a helping hand, one of the kids agrees and frees the child.
Although 2 was a large number already to escape, the previous duo had another member to the group to escape the Hunter and find a way out to free themselves.

Here's where the fic takes place: (Long answer for those who don't know) So basically "spoilers for The Seven Year Nightmare here" After Six betrayed Mono, Mono used his powers to teleport and go through the TV. Then, he and Six had a fight which caused them their scars and left on their own ways. 7 years later, Six found New Dream, a village that Mono is running. Now, blah blah blah we go over the events of the Seven Year Nightmare and to a point where they have feelings for one another, and are bonding. They just defeated an enemy called "The Eyes" and "saved the world". Now they are in Six's home and Six learns more about her powers through a book. (Short answer for those who know): Right after the death of The Eyes. Enjoy.

A girl name Six-who's 16 years old-lives in a neighborhood with horrible, cruel people and kids who have stupidity and very disrespectful behavior. She has dark powers, which she can transform into an evil shadow of herself and she'll only harm the people or person who harm her or her friends. Six is known as keeping a secret as being evil for a long time, and she doesn't tell anyone, neither her friends, since she's afraid they'll treat her as a monster. One day, Six was walking down the street on the concrete until she saw a spark in her neighbor's house. She goes investigate then knocks on the door. When it opened, she sees her friend, Mono breathing so heavily. She asked if he was okay, Mono eventually replied with a smile, but the odd thing was, is when she saw a small line of static going up between his hair, looking like they were connecting together. He smiled warmly up at her, tears spilling over. "I'm sorry," he choked out, and he really was. The last thing he wanted was to leave Six all by herself. He knew loneliness all too well. But at least, this way, she would be able to live her life, far away from the cruelties that threatened them every minute as they had gotten closer to the Signal Tower. After the Signal Man had taken her, he devoted himself to getting her back no matter the cost. There was no price too big to pay. He would give up everything for her. Alternatively: If given the choice, Mono would totally sacrifice himself to save Six, if the circumstances were set up that way. Basically, the ending of Little Nightmares 2, but slightly different. The real ending broke me, and was nothing but angst, so here's angst with a happy ending. Beware of spoilers. Also, the mass of flesh and eyeballs is officially called the Squirming Abyss, so I will be referring to it as such.

Basically this is from a series of "what if" questions that I attempt to answer.
