Clay "Dream" Collins is your average high school football prodigy, popular and charming. Nearly everyone at school is in love with him, most of which is from his own manipulation. George is a new transfer student that became captain of the cheerleading team. He is an optimistic boy who isn't afraid to dress feminine, and while many respect him for this, many judge him.
After one eventful night at a party, Dream and George end up alone in a room, with George claiming he won't ever fall for Dream. Dream makes this his goal to change the male cheerleader's mind. How hard could it be?

Clay's life has never been easy after severe harm was caused by his drunk father. His mother can't decide anything at home and daily arguments go so far that his mother regularly escapes the house. No one seems to understand the very sick Clay and he starts slipping away more and more, not believing anyone who tells him he suffers from anorexia nervosa. Everything keeps escalating until a young boy with bulimia nervosa stays with him in his hospital room...
