Jonah's Gamble

If an Alpha took the time, and would read through were history, they should start to notice patterns emerging from the chaos surrounding the rise and fall of packs. For an Alpha who is tired of looking for his mate, he might notice that newfound mates often surround that chaos.

Jonah Meecham is a 3rd generation pack's Alpha who is missing the one thing that makes leadership worthwhile: a future to pass his successes and mistakes onto. That, and he's a fairly devout believer in the Moon Goddess and her will in choosing predestined mates. The only problem is that the history of late-found mates is bound heavily in the worst things a werewolf could face: the brutality of his own kind. Not all relationships beat those kind of odds.

Story is set around 2001 or 2002.
