In which a family love deprived girl named Daisies Anastasia Lemaíre met her 1 year younger step sister from her mother's other family. She never liked her. She always felt so insecure to her sister to the utmost that their names are contradicting each other. She's always the apple of the eye, the queen and the center of attraction but when Autumn Ails Loreinnedaile came in the picture, she stole the spotlight from her sister immediately, also stole away someone's gaze. Someone dear from Daisies. Someone she took ages to get. Well, the rare month when autumn starts is the name of the guy who stole the sisters' hearts.

So, when Micheal's parents want him to be more responsible and mature, they start a search for his perfect wife who will set him straight and tell him right from wrong. His parents are offering half a million dollars to whoever take a up on the offer. Nova's parents jump at the offer, making their daughter take the position of his wife. The two clash when they meet, immediately hating each other. they despise every last bit. He's a disgusting jerk who doesn't care about anyone but himself. She's a stuck up baby who is a goody-two-shoes. But they'll have to sort everything out when they hear his parents' first words to the married couple. "We want you two to have a child."

Filled with secrets, lies, and love, this short story captures the essence of the original fairy tale with an entirely new twist. ~~~ "Hello, my name is Lilly. What's yours? Is that your mother? I only just came to live here with Ivy, and I don't know many people that come to visit her yet. Do you come often? If you do, we could be friends! Would you like that? To be friends? Why, don't you speak at all? And you should really close your mouth; it is impolite to stare like that." Ivy called out to her from the doorway of the cottage. "Lilly, if you want him to speak, you must first cease speaking." Both of the women were laughing at the children, and Lilly blushed at the comment. "Sorry! I just haven't seen anyone my age yet, and I got excited, which happens rather easily. It reminds me a bit of puppies I've read about that just get so excited that they- oops. I'm doing it again. Sorry," she said with a shy smile. Adam, who had been standing there staring, just as she had pointed out, finally found his voice long enough to tell her his name. She beamed at him, saying that they would be great friends. She seized his hand and began tugging him toward the woods behind the cottage, shouting to Ivy and his mother, "We won't go far! Safe and Sound: The Short Memoir written by Elliot Parker. I've always written stories and music about my personal life. It was the only thing that would heal my scars and wounds. However, there was always a hidden layer of truth that I tried to shield from everyone in order to protect myself. Everything I write tends to be about my thoughts, feelings and emotions but in a way that I could keep them private. This essentially led me to bottle it all up and throw it far into the water. And then I was pulled underwater where I was going to have to face every part of my brain and heart in order to swim through the storm I became trapped in. This story was written about my life in ways I've never explored with writing. It was excruciating to look at my deepest insecurities, the feelings for a boy who never loved me back, and the most traumatic events I've had to experience, in the eyes. Writing a memoir that was originally for an assignment, turned into something more for me. It allowed me to revisit the past and try to explain them in my words, instead of rumors being spread faster than a forest fire. Sometimes you don't know you're hurting until you're being forced to sit in a locked room with your past. Realizing just how much pain and suffering I am still going through was tough, but it opened my eyes and allowed me to release the words I've been holding hostage for months. These four chapters were written about moments in my life that I've never shared with anyone before. I'm ready to tell my story.
