𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐍𝐄 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐑 is your average do-good lawyer on the rise to fame as a representative of young victims. Except her motivations aren't all that innocent. Rayne's only goal is to run from her past, to leave confrontation for the courtroom, no matter who or what that hurts. The task once easy soon becomes hard when an unlikely ally shows up with the truth about her twin brother.
𝐑𝐔𝐄𝐁𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐒 is the Spanish mafia heir, at least, in name. Four years ago, he sat helplessly as his younger sister was snatched from his front lawn, and again when his best friend was taken months later. Up until now, he's been searching on his own. But there are new players involved; new distractions. The time for waiting is over: he needs an ally.
Each fighting for a different reason, each holding onto closeted history, will the alliance prove to be worth it in the end? Or will all of their fears metastasize into something greater?
𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐓 is a classic jokester, hiding his personality and altruism behind false excitement and distracted ironies. With a broken child living inside of him, he finds life easier to manage so long as he keeps up appearances by entertaining a semi-toxic relationship with Blake Ruiz. Happiness is a virtue he can afford to scorn, that is, until everything he's ever craved steals his mind with dark blue Converse and black nail polish.
𝐊𝐀𝐈 𝐀𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐑È𝐙, apathetic at best, shields his vulnerability with pride, ego, and a few too many Jack and Cokes. Men constantly fall into his trap, but when Mason makes the same mistake, things suddenly change. Traumatized from childhood, jeered by a complex he can't seem to quit, he clings to this new person.
Steered by unhealed wounds, they find themselves wrapped in one another. Whoever said you needed water to drown when love is hastily included?

Weakness; the lack of strength either mentally or physically
"This business isn't for the faint of heart Fratello."
The Sanchez Family was many things but let me tell you that they were not weak. Weakness is frowned upon because of the reputation their father set during his time as boss. Things took a turn when the mother of the Sanchez boys was tragically killed in a treaty deal with their rivals gone wrong. Now with their father in jail the boys have to make do with what they have and take care of each other because they don't have anyone or anything else. Blake Sanchez is the youngest of the 4 Sanchez brothers. He is the trouble maker out of the Sanchez bunch. Many say he gets that from his father but he never likes to be associated with him in any way. He alone has gone through the most out of them and has to face the repercussions of his brothers actions every day. The boy is given a chance at true love with someone who understands him more than he thinks she does. Blake doesn't know how to love and show affection towards another human because he's never been taught or shown it. The Sanchez Family are the mob bosses of the Italian Mafia and have been butting heads with rivals along the way.
Blakes list of problems seems never ending too many but he manages to deal with his anger issues that he can't control, living life with no parental guidance except for his older brothers.
How will Blake react to the problems that are just ahead in this rollercoaster that he has to call life? Will his mentality crumble along with his reputation or will he overcome the obstacles that his families profession has put out for him?
The Sanchez Brothers are known to be the most coldhearted killers in the mafia business alone but what really happens behind closed doors? Does living up to their reputation cloud their judgement from separating work and home life?
