My heart was pounding in my chest, fear was evident, and he knew it. He smirked as he put his hand to his ear.

"Are you scared, Imara? Your heart is beating so fast." He taunted.

Imara is an 19-year-old girl in a rough situation at home. With little money to help support her family, Imara makes a decision that will change her life dramatically.

In a chase, Imara runs into a handsome, mysterious man⎯ literally. His name is Alec. He's a vampire, a vampire prince to be exact. Alec is transitioning to take place as King of the vampire realm.

 While in the human world, he can't help but notice Imara as she collided into him. 

Forming a plan, Alec makes a deal with Imara for her to stay with him as his 'assistant'.

After a strange dream, Imara learns she must help Alec. Without her, the kingdom will fall.

The shadows are more interesting than they seem.
