But it was enough to send him on a downhill spiral of a number of things: he goes through his own kind of depression, his previous perfect relationship with his parents is now gone, and his "golden boy" reputation is slowly deteriorating. They come together when Shay was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I think now that maybe it was the right place at the right time.
