They were best friends first. Then something more. Then nothing at all. After weeks away in rehab, she returns to school determined to rebuild her life-one day at a time. But everything has changed. The boy who used to be her person-her best friend, her almost everything-is now with someone else. She tells herself she can move on. She tells herself she has to. But when old feelings refuse to fade and a new connection offers something safer, she's forced to face the truth: you can't heal by holding onto what broke you. Caught between the comfort of what once was and the uncertainty of what could be, she must decide if love is worth the risk-or if letting go is the only way forward. A raw, honest story about addiction, first love, and the complicated space between friendship and something more. This story is not based on the story line of the TV show Ginny and Georgia, I may use some characters, but I do not own any of the ones I use. TW! This story will include mentions and usage of drugs and alcohol. This story may include mentions of domestic violence. This story will include smut. Thankyou. Highest ranking #2 in Marcus Baker

I stare at Matt's face as he looks down, concentrating on the game. I can tell he's so angry. He's holding it in his jaw, he's clenching his teeth. He's up in his head and I don't know what's going on up there but I just know it's not good. Even if I get him back out now, I know that he's going to overthink everything later tonight. "Matty, it's ok." I whisper. He immediately looks up and finds my eyes. His blue eyes are bluer than normal. Impossibly blue. Not even a gray blue. But a pure, brilliant blue. "It's not ok, Rach. I fucking hate him." His swear catches me off guard a bit. But my eye contact doesn't waver. "Thank you." "You're welcome." My favorite color immediately changes to blue. --------------- Two childhood friends have spent a lifetime battling demons. Will life ever give them a break? Can Matty and Rachel find an ending that is even remotely happy? --------------- DISCLAIMER: This book contains: Adult language: LOTS of Profanity Mental Health topics (anxiety and depression, PTSD) Adult situations: sex, drugs, alcohol, sexual assault Please be aware that: THIS BOOK COULD BE TRIGGERING.
