In 19th century Europe, the life of the lower class is tough.
Clarke is a lonely, troubled, young woman living in the English countryside, who needs a better job to help support her sick mother. She has one true love: horses.
When an unpassable opportunity through luck, falls into Clarke's lap, she jumps to take it. Becoming a stable hand for the most important family in the neighbouring kingdom of Arkadia, was the best job opportunity she could ask for.
But she is about to learn the tough character required to stomach the high demands of Arkadia's royal family. Clarke struggles to navigate around the high class society of Arkadia, the hatred-filled Queen Aurora Blake, the beautiful spoilt princess, and the strikingly handsome yet cruel prince.
Unfortunately, the Arkadian royal family isn't the only threat looming over the horizon.

Disclaimer for the 100 fans:this starts two months after Clarke goes into the woods leaving Arkadia behind, roan THE KING OF AZGEDA finds Clarke to keep her safe and bring her to icenation. Lexa and Clarke do not get together in this fic but it does talk about forgotten feelings so any clexa fans reading get the closure before the story starts. I won't be going to the full extent of the feelings as i feel that would ruin the story for any clexa fans reading.
