Ricki Valdes is a part black, multiracial dancer. She is from hot, dry Phoenix, Arizona.  Living in the Barrio (Spanish hood) is certainly tough for her, being a mixed breed and all. Moreover, trying to be accepted for being pansexual. [Author Note: Pansexual means liking all genders or gender identities.]

Bree Sanchez, Ricki’s hot headed girlfriend, from Tucson, Arizona. She dreams of being a professional dancer and eventually starting a life with Ricki. That is if she can get over her jealousy issues. Furthermore, if her Mexican family can handle Bree being with a black, multiracial girl rather than a Spanish-speaking Mexican man.

Sandino Ramirez is a half puerto rican, half cuban guy, and Ricki’s neighbor. A young soccer player moving to Arizona from Santiago, Cuba. He struggles with being so far from home. As well as, trying to not lose his nerve. In exchange of coming to America, Sandino’s uncle, Roberto, has Sandino work in his restaurant. Sandino wishes to be a professional soccer player.

Isaiah Valdes, Ricki’s older brother, plans on being a professional soccer player, as well. Isaiah is the only one who knows about Ricki’s secret, that she is keeping from the family. He’s a fun and loving brother. He may be a class clown, but he will not hesitate to whoop some ass. Ricki’s protective older brother, also teaches a martial arts class.

What will happen if Ricki falls for Sandino?
