Seventeen-year-old Jay thinks he has his life sussed, except he's just been yanked out of it to live in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly friendless, he resigns himself to six miserable months alone - until Hannah trespasses through his backyard.

Hannah isn't sure what to make of Jay. Realistically, she knows a friendship stands no chance. She's built her defences by shutting up, laying low, and pushing everyone away. It's only a matter of time before he realises she is social suicide.
