Loki, Thor, and Hela aren't the only children of the royal Asgardian family; there's a fourth child. Her name is Mari and she's only a few weeks younger than Loki. Raised with the knowledge that she'd never get the throne no matter what, and that she looked exactly like her big sister Hela who her father hates, Mari always carried some resentment towards Odin and at one point, the rest of her family.
The moment she was able to control her magic and learned of the secret passages to other realms, Mari was on Asgard as little as possible. She was on Midgard often and is able to blend in with the humans as if she was human herself and not the youngest of the Allfather's children. Raised as both a warrior and a magic user, Mari never fit in in any one crowd. She was able to spar with Sif and the Warriors Three, just as she was able to keep up with the advanced classes at the magic academy. So, once she reached adulthood, she left her home to travel.
She left behind her friends, family, and most of her belongings. The only things she brought were her armor, her dual Kindjals that are laced with her magic, two outfits from Asgard, the charm bracelet from her siblings, and a small seashell that allowed her to contact her siblings whenever she wished.
Now, Mari's finally coming to visit Thor and Loki for the first time in almost 20 years. Chaos ensues, death threats are constant, stories are told, and pancakes are made.
This is the series of oneshots that tells Mari Odinsdottir's story.
