Noori Somer is a hardworking, busybody with no time to entertain people who try their best to infiltrate her hardcore exterior and no-nonsense personality. Content working sixty hours a week as a waitress and lead dancer at the popular South Asian restaurant she's been working at for over a year, all while shoving all her personal problems and feelings to the side and acting as the "free in-house therapist" for her friends' relationship issues, and studying to be a paralegal. When an old flame from her past shows up in her path, Noori finds her world shaken up as she tries to navigate her present life while clashing heads with the girl she once was in the past. In need of a job after moving out, Meezaan is recommended for a job as a waiter at the restaurant his new roommate frequents. Ready for a change, he's surprised to come face-to-face with the girl who stole his heart before their relationship met its premature end. Meezaan tries to stay out of Noori's way, but their pushy, clueless friends; flirty coworkers; and old resurfacing feelings make it hard for the both of them to stay well away from each other. Both Noori and Meezaan are left to struggle to figure out their reawakened feelings, juggle long work hours, and maintain new relationships all while keeping their cool in front of one another, unwilling to be the first to snap and allow their long-buried emotions to resurface. Things start to really spin out of control when Noori's coworkers (on a bet she only agrees to out of frustration) egg her on to start dating one of the other dancers, and her boss's son, Sanam Hayat, whose always-chill manner and player lifestyle drives Noori crazy until she actually starts to get to know him outside the restaurant. Now the heart Noori had kept locked up tight after things ended with Meezaan is feeling things for both boys and has to decide whether the past is worth going back to or if it's time to give someone new a chance to heal her heart.
