Elaine unknowingly brings the war to her doorstep when she meets Christopher Lee, a gravely injured soldier beneath General Washington. Mercifully, she gives the man a bed and some wine to ease his pain, blissfully unaware of the dire consequences that lay ahead. Now caught up in a fight for freedom, the pair must work together to overcome old European ideals and pave their way in a new world.
