John Shelby had one intention when striding through the front doors of the Eden Club. Destruction. His pent up anger was boiling to depths he was sure would soon consume him, but when he heard that sweet, lilting melody of a songbird it made him pause.
Nina had never believed in superstition, so perhaps it was mere coincidence that her fortune-telling best friend predicts she was to fall in love the day three men in peaked caps come storming into Eden like they owned the place.
John liked the sound of her voice.
