Hadley Cooper has been relocated, again.
After her father has been moved by his company for the fifteenth-thousandth time this year, Hadley has no real place to call home, constantly being stuck in a mini-van for never-ending hours of driving on never-ending roads, traveling some place she knows she'll probably never see again after a few months.

And in every place, she's always just been a ghost, never really being noticed by anyone or let alone anything.

Preston Tannery has always been stuck in the god-forsaken town of Westgate, Michigan. Everyone knows him, and he knows everyone. Tired of all the same old people, the same old girlfriends, and basically the same old everything, Preston thinks he might just bury himself alive now to save him the agony of being stuck in this boring town for the rest of his life.

Yet, out of the blue, there's someone he doesn't recognize for a change. A mysterious new girl he can't deny his attraction for.
