This was my Nanowrimo project for 2014, and my first time being a winner. Because it was written in such a short time, it is not well-written and the plot is very poor. I do not plan on editing it, and only have it here so that I can hopefully look back and see how far I have come.Complete

Duck I drop down. The smell of sweat and alcohol fill my nostrils. I feel the air swish above my head as his fist flies over my head. They've been accused and tried for the murder of a respected Agent. A murder that they did not commit. Now, they are thrust into the experimental punishment that is the Ki'i. The convicted are thrust into an enclosed area and left there until only one remains alive. The last one standing gains his or her freedom and a secure job in the government. Belle and Derek are best friends and neither one are willing to kill the other, but when their circumstances change, they have a chance to fight back against the Elders that sentenced them.
